A parent-managed pilot

This early version is for parents and guardians to manage household chores. Use a parent-managed device for younger children. Families do not need ChatGPT accounts. Create a chart, save its owner access code, and choose a parent PIN.

Pilot signup and follow-up

New pilot parents provide their name and email before setting up a family chart. Signup details and consent time are stored separately from the kids’ chart. The organizer can see these details, whether setup is complete, and the linked family chart, and may contact you about the pilot and feedback with your permission. This does not subscribe you to a marketing list. Email backup and recovery require a connected email service and a confirmed address. When enabled, signup sends a confirmation link, and your private access code is emailed after family setup. Recovery links expire after 15 minutes and work once; resetting your PIN replaces joining codes and signs devices out. Existing families must confirm their signup email from the family creator’s unlocked dashboard. While email is unavailable, save your access card and PIN; an email address alone cannot recover a chart.

Signing up saves your details even if you do not finish family setup. Contact the pilot organizer to request removal of an unfinished signup. Deleting your family chart also removes the signup linked to it.

What is saved

The app also stores hashed email confirmation and recovery tokens, expiry times, and short-lived request limits. If email delivery is enabled, the email provider receives the recipient address and message content, including private backup codes or recovery links. The app saves random device identifiers and access sessions, family chart name, children’s first names and ages, chores, check-ins, cash or savings choices, payouts, a protected parent PIN, family membership, and any photo proof you upload. Feedback answers are saved when you submit them. You do not need to provide full names, birthdays, addresses, school information, or payment details.

Photos and family access

Use photos of finished work, such as shoes put away or a cleared floor. Keep children, private documents, and personal care out of photos. Devices with valid family access sessions can view the chart and its photo proof. Access codes grant access: keep the owner code private, and share the parent code only with trusted adults, and replace codes from the parent dashboard if needed. Parent and owner access codes also require the family PIN. The kids-only code grants chore check-ins without parent approvals. Parents can also share a kids-only QR code or kid-device link. That link contains a family access code, so share it only with trusted family members. QR codes are generated on the parent’s device, without sending the code to an external QR service. Devices are remembered for 30 days; approvals lock after 15 minutes. Replacing a joining code prevents new joins; it does not remove devices already connected. Save your owner access code and PIN separately. You can download a private access card or open an email draft to send yourself a backup through your own mail app. The site does not send that email or collect a recovery email address. Your code will be included in the draft; your PIN will not. This pilot does not offer automatic email lookup or PIN resets.

Storage and the pilot organizer

Family data and photos are stored through the hosting platform’s database and file storage. The organizer dashboard shows parent signup names and emails, family chart names, access status, activity counts and feedback, not children’s names or photo proof. The site operator and hosting providers may have technical access to stored data for operation and troubleshooting. Free-text feedback should not include children’s identifying details.

Exporting and deleting

You can export your chart records from the unlocked parent dashboard. The family creator can delete the family chart there, which removes its active records, device access sessions, memberships, feedback, and stored proof photos from this app. The export includes chart records and photo references, not copies of the photo files. Hosting-provider backups and logs follow their own retention practices.

Access management

The pilot organizer can suspend or restore family access. Suspension blocks access codes, chart requests, check-ins, and photo requests on connected devices, while preserving stored chart records and allowance savings. It does not erase information previously downloaded to a device. Access does not end automatically after 30 days; that is the device-session duration.

Free pilot, real feedback

Try the app for 14 days and tell us whether it helped. There is no automatic charge, payment collection, or paid subscription in this pilot. A feedback question about a possible $5 monthly price is research only.

Allowance information

See the allowance FAQ for earning, bonuses, payday, and payments.

An early product

Features may change during testing. Check your records, keep an export if you need one, and use the in-app feedback form to report problems or ask the pilot organizer for help.
